Sam Salar Pars Company was founded in 2007 and has taken steps in the production of materials for the Iranian steel industry by using the technical knowledge and experiences of its research and development team. This company commenced its operation in 2018 in Yazd Province with an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons of cold briquetted iron (CBI). In addition to producing these products, the company’s commercial department is active in supplying other related products which can be seen in the image gallery.
CBI is a suitable substitute for iron waste in the continuous casting process in the steel industry. Therefore, a high percentage of raw materials to provide melting needed by steelmaking units can be provided through cold briquettes iron.
Sam Salar pars company has not neglected its corporate social responsibility and has taken a step to protect the environment in order to realize the “development of the steel industry while preserving the environment” and considering the importance of environmental issues and prevention of pollution of natural resources. One of the signs of a sustainable industry is the ability to recycle materials into its production cycle. At different stages of the steelmaking process, wastes are produced, and the lack of proper management of these wastes can be due to the presence of heavy metals that are harmful to water and soil, for this reason, it is necessary to identify, analyze and manage such materials in these industries. In the briquetting industry, briquettes can be made not only from DRI and fines of DRI, but also all types of metal scraps such as furnace slag, converter slag, furnace dust and sludge, converter sludge and rolling husk can also be made into briquettes. attention to this issue, in addition to preventing the wastage of materials that can be reused and returned to the production process and reducing the pollution of biological resources, helps to extract less limited resources of iron ore, because the indiscriminate extraction of raw materials itself causes destruction Biodiversity.
The CBI can be produced according to order of customers , it can be produced for EAF electric melting furnaces and IMF induction melting furnaces, and it is possible to add carbon or other elements in the briquettes formulation.
